November 28, 2006 – Punished

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

Let me just take a short break from my mtsfilms-centric blog mentality and give a quick plug.

I received my copy of Punisher: First Round yesterday. So cool. If you haven’t seen it go on over to CoreySosner.com and check it out. You can even get order a t-shirt on the official site and get a free promotional copy of the movie with each purchase. For those not in the know, this is the Punisher vs. Wolverine fan film that made the circuit a while ago and is still quite the film. Ok, it may not have the huge Hollywood budget, but imagine if it did. For what they did have, I think it was a pretty successful. Clearly, the fan response echos that. It just shows that with a little elbow grease and some know-how fans can put together something that’s still better than so much of what’s being churned out by the studios. Also, stop by the IMDB page for the movie and show your support. And to the people that have ragged on this movie: Yeah, big talk, what have you done?

Ok, enough on that for now. I’ve started writing a new Potato Parody. I just can’t seem to escape the spuds. Well, this one is by request and hopefully will get me a bit more exposure. The fine folks at ResolutionGaming.com saw the other spud stuff and wanted something they could show on their site and I thought it would help raise my profile a bit as well. Hey, nothing wrong with a little quid-pro-quo. Stay tuned…

November 6, 2006 – More Hits

Monday, November 6th, 2006

Happy to announce that Spud Wars has now topped 10,000 hits! Whoohoo! It’s been around longer but I can’t believe that it’s out pacing Revenge of the Spud by so much. Also, the Iron Man Teaser Trailer broke 1,000 over the weekend as well. Not bad considering it’s only been just over a week. I guess there are more comic fans currently looking for something new than the Star Wars fans. Never fear Star Wars fans, your encouragement on YouTube has been noted and there may be a new potato film in your future. I just need to find the time… and space… and money for it.

Hopefully I all three will come together in the coming year.

November 1, 2006 – Voice work

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

I’m getting more involved with the “fan community” (if you want to call it that.) I’ve spent more time at TheForce.net lately just seeing what’s going on and through an open request I seem to have landed my first bit of voice over work.

It’s just a few lines for a War of the Worlds fan film that’s being put together by a user over there. I have no idea really where it’s going or what kind of production it will end up being but all the same, I’m happy to do it. I’ll post more details when they become available.
