December 6, 2006 – Holiday Slowdown & More Spuds
Wednesday, December 6th, 2006Well, the holiday season is upon us and I’m keeping up with all that, but lagging on my new movies (sorry folks). Between Christmas shopping, selling some stuff on eBay and the day job I just haven’t found a lot of time for the new projects. I have found time for this update and to do some writing.
Right now the upcoming project will be yet another spud parody, but this will be much looser. I’ve started with Halo as the base but we’re all over the place with this one. Currently the plan is 10 very short chapters, a max of 2-3 minutes, following our hero as he attempts to save some scientists. The tone is off beat and pretty wacky, and give me an opportunity to parody all kinds of things and work in as many pop culture references as I can.
I’ve also completed the prototype of the helmet that the main character will be wearing. It’s Halo-esque, enough to draw the reference but not an exact copy by any means. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. As production nears I’ll post some pictures of the final staring spud. I’m currently working out how to create his arms to give him more motion than I had in Revenge of the Spud.
Stay tuned for more…
