February 26, 2007 – Iron Duck…

So the Iron Man trailer on youtube is doing well. It hit 30,000 over the weekend, which is pretty cool.

The Aflac parody is progressing. Construction on the duck is moving forward. Fabric has been chosen and the mouth mechanism for the “head only” duck has been built. I’m now working on the mechanism for the full body duck. Most of that is complete but making it so the head can swivel and still open and close his mouth has been a bit tricker than I had anticipated. The long snow weekend gave me a chance to work out some issues and that should be together soon as well.

February 8, 2007 – Iron Man and more Duck

Well, good news. Iron Man has cracked 20,000 hits. It’s quickly out paced Spud Wars and Revenge of the Spud. I suppose that’s good, right?

In other news the Duck progresses. The mechanics of making a duck bill move and quack is a bit more difficult that I anticipated. Never-the-less, there is progress.

Finally, give me money. Ok, you don’t actually have to give it to me, but do consider buying some stuff. It’d be great to have a new pro cam and have it in hand to shoot the duck, so to speak. Com’on, you know you want to. Fabric tests for the duck are forthcoming, as well as some test stills.
