May 22, 2007 – TOP TEN!!!

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Alright! The Amazing Spider-Spud made the Top Ten in Target’s Spin Your Own Webisode Contest. While this is great, I don’t have it made quite yet. What I need is everyone to go VOTE!

Just head over to the site and place your vote. You’ll need to log in (which requires a Grouper account, which is like YouTube) so just sign up and vote once everyday. I’m not out of the woods yet by a long shot so I appreciate every body taking the time to pitch in. Plus, every vote gets you a chance to win a trip to L.A. to see the winner announced. How cool is that???

May 13, 2007 – Amazing Spider-Spud!

Amazing. Really amazing. I actually wasn’t sure if my newest movie, The Amazing Spider-Spud, would really go anywhere. Well, I figured worst case senario I wouldn’t get into the contest and the video would get dropped on YouTube. I’m happy to announce that I got a call on Thursday from a nice sounded representative for the contest and my film has made the first cut. I cut out of work on Friday just a bit early and filled out forms, signed my life away, and got them and the DVD out Fedex to Burbank. Fingers crossed it will arrive Monday afternoon and they’ll let me know that everything is in order.

I should know by next weekend if I made the next cut. Wish me luck and I’ll keep the updates coming.

May 4, 2007 – The Amazing Spider-Spud

… or Spuder-man, as I like to call him. I finished my entry into the Target / Spider-man 3 video contest and the movie has been uploaded and accepted for preliminary judging. For the time being, you can see it here. The movies are reordered with every visit, so please just poke around until you find mine and please rate it high!

Now, unless they’ve changed something, the entry period ended last night and the first round of judging is going on now. Hopefully I’ll know if I made the cut by next Friday. Fingers crossed. Of course, if I didn’t you can be sure this will turn up on YouTube soon after. If I did make the cut then it’s on to several rounds of voting by ad execs, contest reps, the public, and finally some representatives of the Spider-man 3 team. It all culiminates with a trip to L.A. and a spot on an exclusive bonus disc from Target when the movie comes out on DVD. I’m not holding my breath, but I am hopeful.

Stay tuned…
